Peter Gunn Chief Executive
Prior to be appointed as BH Live’s first Chief Executive, Peter was Managing Director of the Bournemouth International Centre and Pavilion. He has over 20 years management experience in a number of the UK’s multi-faceted sport, leisure, entertainment and event venues. This has involved roles covering operations, marketing, commercial, event, project and general management. During his time at the BIC and Pavilion the venues experienced significant business growth and in 2008 the BIC was a finalist in the AIPC World’s Best Congress Centre Award. Prior to this Peter was General Manager of the award winning Guildford Spectrum, the largest leisure and entertainment complex of its type in the UK. During his 10 years in the post he led the organisation to the UK’s highest rated centre within Quest (quality award for sport and leisure) and an ‘Excellent’ Best Value rating.

Peter was his professional institutes's UK Manager of the Year in 2001/2 and holds an MA in Leisure Management.

A message from the Chief Executive: BH Live is a new organisation, however, we are in the fortunate position to be managing and operating high quality leisure facilities and event venues with a strong record of success over many years.

The Leisure Centres currently attract over 2.2 million visits every year and around 6,500 customers subscribe to one of our membership packages. The BIC is one of the UK’s leading purpose built conference venues, attracting over 60,000 delegates per annum and generating approximately £70m of economic benefit to the area. In addition, the BIC and Pavilion host over 400 cultural events each year with ticket sales of 600,000 plus.

The whole team at BH Live is incredibly passionate about the facilities and services we provide to our customers. We are committed to providing significant public benefit in all that we do and improving value for money and the customer experience wherever possible. To achieve this it is extremely important that we listen to customers and involve our clients and stakeholders in moving the organisation forward and achieving our priorities of More Participation, Higher Audiences and Greater Economic Benefit.
