Mazars net money at Littledown Centre badminton tournament for Ladybird Unit

The LadyBird Unit at Poole Hospital, which specialises in breast cancer care is to receive a welcome boost of £255. The money has been raised by kind-hearted accountants from the Poole office of international accountancy and business advisory firm, Mazars with support from leisure and cultural trust BH Live.

Sara Bradshaw, from West Moors, who is a business advisory senior with the firm, organised a charity badminton tournament at the Littledown Centre to raise funds for the LadyBird Unit after a Mazars employee was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Sara, 25, who is on the Mazars Corporate Responsibility Committee said: “The cause is obviously very close to our hearts here at Mazars so the Corporate Responsibility Committee wanted to do something to support the wonderful LadyBird Unit and recognize the help it has given our colleague.”

The tournament saw 26 people taking part and was supported by leisure and cultural trust BH Live, which manages the Littledown Centre.

Sara Bradshaw added: “Mazars are so grateful to BH Live for their support towards organising this fundraising event. Without their help it wouldn’t have been possible to raise so much money.”

Peter Gunn, Chief Executive for BH Live said, “Raising money by taking part in a sporting tournament is a fantastic way to bring people together and achieve great results. We are delighted that Mazars were able to raise over £250 for the Ladybird Unit in this way.”
